Today, Stacy, Robin, and Crystal explore a bit of a different—but no less important—topic: practicing self-care and chasing your dreams!
Building a successful career or business doesn’t have to come at the expense of your physical and mental well-being. The key to achieving so-called “work-life integration?” Setting boundaries. As our hosts discuss, anybody can create the life of their dreams by getting clear on their values, priorities, and, of course, their self-care non-negotiables.
One of the strategies they share is setting aside mental space amid your busy schedule. With productive downtime, you’ll be able to mentally map out your to-dos for life, business, and dog training.
Combine this with a progression plan with a view toward long-term goals. If you’re building a brand for your business, it’s vital to regularly collect feedback from your audience so that you know how best to provide value. And prepare to go through a lot of trial and error. You’ll have to throw a lot of darts to get to the bullseye, but as you get better, you become more strategic about which darts to throw.
But even the most well-thought-out plans go nowhere without this final piece of the puzzle: “The one critical piece that has to happen if you want to pursue your dreams, is to make a decision.”
If that decision is to quit your corporate job in order to dive headfirst into your dream business, for example, you have no choice but to take the leap sooner or later, then follow through on your commitment.
Stacy, Robin, and Crystal set our minds at ease by reminding us that, if you have a vision, it doesn’t have to be crystal clear before you make that fateful decision. Often, it’s just a matter of finding your “why” and responding to that unquenchable thirst for more in life.
