Choose Your Own Adventure!

What We Can Work On

This is a menu of ideas, not a fixed curriculum. Mix and match any three for a weekend. Bring a problem that isn't on this list at all; that's fine too. This is a starting point for the conversation, not a limit on it. We are odor-agnostic, so you can also mix and match who may come!

Handling & Mechanics

Clean leash mechanics under pressure, reading change of behavior in real time, building independent search skills, resetting arousal and refocusing a unfocused dog.

Troubleshooting

Work through asking your dog questions to really drill down on the problem area. Whether it be odor pools, fringe alerts, or a problem with your final response.

Advanced Hide Placement

More on hide placement (blinds, blanks, facilitated blinds), clearing blank areas efficiently, building complex and competing odor pictures, and area coverage.

Specialty & Crossover Topics

Sport-to-professional crossover for the competitor curious about operational work (or the other way), puppy and green-dog foundation work.

Get your training buddies.
Pick a topic.
Pick a weekend.
Bring your dog.

You watched your dog blow through the same hide three times in one afternoon and thought:

"I don't need a whole camp for this. I need concentrated training."

One good, hard day or days on exactly the thing that's actually stuck, with two sets of eyes who've seen it before.

That's the idea behind Choose Your Own Adventure. Instead of a fixed curriculum, you tell us what you're working on, we build the weekend around it, and Robin and Stacy are both on the ground the whole time. No guessing whether the seminar you signed up for actually covers your problem.

Meant for small groups of handlers (four to ten) who want specific skills and outcomes from their training.
