Intentional Handling & Hide Setting 2026

Intentional Handling and Hide Setting is designed to build on the skills necessary for both sport and professional K9 teams to persevere despite multitudes of distractions. The flow is designed to help learners understand how intentional handling can help clear blank areas, aid in the dog solving odor theory problems quicker, and the fundamentals of hide setting. This camp will aid in building independent search skills, handler skills, better leash handling techniques, understanding how to read a dog, developing management habits during distracted searching to bring your dog back to the task at hand.  

Teams will be coached on advocating for their dogs and will build skills to motivate their dogs to push through distractions and difficulty while maintaining a high state of competency.  We will be using blinds, blanks, and facilitated blinds, all with coaching
